KERR, Rosemary (nee McGuinness) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Thomas (1978). Loving mother of Marie Labadie (Dave) of Woodstock. Dear grandmother of Angela, Alan (Tessa) Kerr, Sean (Michelle) Labadie & Tyler (Bille) Labadie and great grandmother of Ellis and Lainey Kerr. Predeceased by her son, Thomas Kerr, her siblings, Daniel, James and Aleen and her dear friend Joe Corrigan. Rosemary was born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 21, 1932. She emigrated to Canada with her family in 1966. She worked as the benefits administrator for Standard Tube for many years. Rosemary was loved by everyone she met; they could drop by anytime for a chat, advice and a wee cup of tea. She will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME , 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11 am with Fr. Dariusz Jagodzinski as celebrant. A spring interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society – Breast Cancer Research. Smith-LeRoy, 519-537-3611. Rosemary sat at her desk in front of me while we worked at Standard Tube and TI ... lots of laughs and a few scolding ... lol. I lived in the back apartment on Hatch Street below Rosemary and Tom for a few years ... great neighbours ... lots of help from both. Rosemary will be greatly missed. I had the deepest respect for Rosemary. My condolence to the Kerr family.
