Norman Stephen Ross

ROSS, Norman Stephen - On Thursday, December 13, 2018 in his 90th year. Norman Stephen Ross of Dorchester passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his wife Violet (Eedy) in 2014. One of a kind father to Candice Pegg (Bob) of Thamesford, Kim Lewis of Dorchester and Jeffrey Ross (Zahra) of Ottawa. Predeceased by a son Daniel Ross (2002) and son-in-law Paul Lewis (2009). Adored grandfather of Setina Stewart (Scott), Sara Fenton (David), Bob Pegg, Neal Lewis (Kelsey), Eric Lewis (Stephanie), Jayson Ross, Parker Ross, Sara Nafar and Noah Raahemi. Loving great grandpa to Kalen, Kolton, Kayson, Avery, Jayden, Haven, Kali and Alexis. Survived by brother-in-law Bob Taylor of Woodstock as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Wohlgemut and the wonderful staff at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll for their tremendous care and compassion. Friends will be received at the BIEMAN FUNERAL HOME , 3970 Hamilton Road, Dorchester (Monday 7-9 p.m.) and on Tuesday, December 18 at the Dorchester Community Church, 3912 Catherine Street, Dorchester (1 hour prior to service) where the funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery. We were so sorry to hear of Norman’s passing. Ron is Iola Masterson’s(Brown) youngest a first cousin. Ron and I had hoped to get together with Norman for a sorry that did not take place. Our condolences to his family.

Norman was a great man. I am glad he called Merrymount and let me into his house so I could hear about his childhood experiences. I really enjoyed getting to know him.

Thanks to Norm for help, advice and encouragement into the Amateur Radio Hobby starting 48yrs ago. Thanks for the many conversations as a neighbour, I enjoyed every one of them, just a short walk away. And thanks to Norm and Vi for looking after my sons before school.

I would have to agree with the other condolences, quite a gentleman.
