Kenneth Edward Keegan

KEEGAN, Kenneth Edward - Of Simcoe passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on December 5, 2018 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Creed) for years. Dear father David Keegan (Carolyn) of London, Katherine Miles of Brantford, Jane O’Donnell (Robert) (the late James) of London and Ross Keegan (Karen) of Simcoe. Cherished grandfather of Gregory, Graham, Harrison, Aaron, Andrew, Justin, Jamie, Emily, Allison and Jeffrey. Great grandfather of Bennett, Bowen, Bronson, Blake, Keegan, Quinn, Kade, Landon, Elin, Bonnie, Maeve, Cali, Max, Ryan and Rachael. He was predeceased by his brother Bernard Keegan (the late Doreen) and predeceased by his sister Ada Goodman (The late Al). Ken served with the RCAF from 1942 to 1945 He served overseas with the 420 Bomber Squadron having flown 36 missions. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross from King George VI. Ken was a long time member of Trinity Anglican Church. He taught Health and Phys. Ed at Simcoe Composite School for 15 years and served as Vice Principal at Port Dover Composite School for 12 years retiring in 1982. He was an avid golfer, curler and played bridge for over 50 years. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME , 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Paul Sherwood officiating. Thank you, Ken for all that you are. My sincerest condolences to Margaret, Dave, Kathy, Jane, Ross and all the extended family for their loss.

You were a great Coach- both on and off the playing field for myself and countless others. I first heard the term-"Great second effort, Gord" -from you and have applied that many times over my lifetime....

Mr.Keegan I remember as a no fool around teacher, but very likeable. I believe,Pres.Bush

are one of same. Made the world a better place.

I remember Ken from Simcoe High in the late 1950's. Strict and fair, but just a great teacher. My condolences to Ross and the rest of the family.
