Ethel Marie (nee Carmichael), born Sept 1st, 1925 in Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest Home, Kingston, ON on November 11th, 2018 her 94th year. She is survived by her dear husband, John A. King, six of her eight children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons. Ethel was employed at Scotia Furs in Truro as a certified fur finisher. She and John and their first four children moved to Ontario in 1955. Ethel worked at Snider's Cleaners after moving to Kingston. Their last four children were born here. She then became a proud Sears Canada employee from which she retired after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed belonging to the Sweet Adelines chorus for many years. Sincere thanks and appreciation go out to all of the caring staff of Rideaucrest who took care of Ethel in her last years. A special hug goes to her angels Donna, Sara, Agy, Monica and Mary. In keeping with Ethel's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.13312645

Just hears about aunt ethels passing. She was a dear aunt. Always enjoyed her visits. Our prayers go out to everyone. So sorry so late but just heard.

I remember Great Aunt Ethel when I was a small boy. A beautiful and kind lady; whom will be fondly remembered.

Laureen John and family, please accept my sincere condolences. I am sorry for your loss. Ethel was always very kind to me. I still have two sweaters she knit for me many years ago, probably 1987 :)
