So sorry to hear of Dr. Siess passing. He was my mentor and thesis adviser over 40 years ago. Patient, gentle, reliable, someone I could count on for clear direction and constant support in my endeavors. A valued influence in my past life. I mourn the loss of this multi-talented man.

Very sorry to learn of the passing of Dr. Siess. While President of the USC, 1978-79, Dr. Siess and I had many meetings and telephone calls on numerous student matters. He was always open to discussing the issues, concerns, and finding solutions and common ground. He also served London well as an effective City Councillor for a number of years.
