Nancy Lynn (nee Summerhayes) Corke

CORKE, Nancy Lynn (nee Summerhayes) - We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Nanc, Momma and Grammy on Tuesday, February 6th 2018. The high school sweetheart, best friend and forever loved wife of Murray for 42 years, the most caring and selfless mother of Katelyn & Patrick, Jordan & Kayla, and the world's most loving and adoring Grammy of Rowan, Cairo and Nora. Loving sister and best friend to Holly & Murray; sister-in-law to Jamie & Vicki, and Anne and niece of Janice. She will be lovingly remembered by countless cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. She passed on a beautiful winter day, her favourite season. Miss Nancy nurtured and loved more pre-school children in this city than can be counted, right up until Christmas break of this year. She was a gourmet chef, bar none, an avid swimmer and fed her birds every day of the year. Nature was in her soul. A private family service will be held, followed by a joyous Celebration of Life at the Charing Cross Reception Suites adjacent to the TOLL FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. Memorial donations would be appreciated in her name to Kids Can Fly or Stedman Community Hospice. www.tollfh.ca13251018

Thinking of Nancy and sending my sympathy
Posted by Valerie Moore (Neighbour) On Sunday, February 18, 2018
Dear Murray, Katelyn, Jordan and family

Our families are connection began when Nancy babysat my brother David and I, and continued when I babysat Katelyn and Jordan. Nancy had such a natural warmth and kindness that radiated from her. I remember her smile and laugh and her youthful sense of fun. I still have the ornaments she made and sold at her Christmas craft sales years ago. She had quite a creative talent. You are all in my thoughts. With my deepest sympathy, love Valerie Moore

Remembering Nancy

As evident by so many kind words Nancy blessed those in her path and she obviously touched children in a powerful way. We were kids together & fondly remember spending hours with Nancy, her sister, Holly & the neighborhood gang swimming in the Summerhayes pool, skating on their pond or just meeting at the tree in the middle of the road to hang out. To Murray & family, may your heartbreak & pain be ultimately replaced by the joy of sweet memories of Nancy doing life with you.

Dear Murray & family: I was shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of Nancy. She was an amazing person and was loved by so many. I can still visualize that wonderful "high school" smile of hers, that cheered up everyone she met, she was loved by all. So very sorry for your loss. Cathy Bialas-Burke
