Eva (Schlarb) Jason

JASON, Eva (Schlarb) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eva (Schlarb) Jason in her 87th year. She peacefully and contently was welcomed into the loving arms of her saviour Jesus, knowing she was surrounded by her family, early Friday, Jan 12th, 2018. She leaves behind, her devoted husband, Robert A. Jason, her loving sons Fred (Heidi) and Chris (Sherri) and her seven grandchildren: Rachel, Erik, Ben, Rebecca, Caleb, Jared and Gracie, who loved their Oma deeply. She was born in Rajevo Selo in the former Yugoslavia in 1930 and then moved with her family to Schlarbhofen (Rosenheim) in Germany. After immigrating to Canada, Eva met the love of her life, Robert, in Ottawa while working as a translator. They started their family and moved to St. Catharines. Then they built a house in Fonthill where Robert tended the gardens and they welcomed visits from their children and grandchildren. She was the last of her generation in this branch of the Schlarb family tree. She was a hard-working and loving woman who always put others first and loved Jesus and her family with all of her heart. She devoted much of her working life to the care of individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Evaís Family will receive visitors at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME 2000 Merrittville Highway, Fonthill 905-892-1699 on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The celebration of Evaís life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Rolling Meadows Bible Chapel, 54 Sunset Way, Thorold. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Samaritanís Purse. Please share your condolences, photos and memories at www.pleasantviewcemetery.ca13243422

Eva:Joan's face would light up when she saw you. Both yourself and Robert made my sister feel like family. You offered her kindness and such caring! Also you treated my dad and mom, WILF & RUBY HALL the same way. Our family was sad when you were not able to take care of Joanie anymore, but we completely understood. May your family be comforted in the coming days ahead. Again, we offer our sincerest thanks for your LOVE! Rest in Peace dear Eva.
