Peter John Wright

WRIGHT, Peter John - January 25, 1964 - December 30, 2017 Born in Bristol, England, to Dr. John Wright (deceased 2016) and Jean Wright (deceased 2017), Peter immigrated to Canada with his family at a young age. Sadly, Peter passed away in Toronto following a short illness. Peter was a talented musician on several instruments and often dedicated free time to writing and playing music. As a younger man he was athletic, with talent in several sports. Throughout his life, Peter was a lively conversationalist and debater with a ready humour and keen sense of wit. Peter earned a degree in Economics from the University of Guelph and spent his career in his chosen field. Much loved by his family, sister Maree Loveless and brothers Christopher and Derek, brother-in-law, nieces and nephew, uncle and cousins overseas, Peter will be greatly missed at family gatherings. A family celebration of Peterís life was held on January 5 in Paris, Ontario, followed by internment at Holy Cross cemetery.13243241

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Pete's passing earlier today. My sympathy goes out to the family - Maree, Chris and Derek. Some great memories from the days at SJC - Peter could play those drums. He will be missed.
How very sad news

I remember Peter very well from my years as a teacher at SJC. He was a gifted personality. His love for music was clearly to the fore and his involvement in the rock band Vigilants further attests to this. Truly gifted. My sympathy to Maree, Chris and Derek. He is in God's good care. May all the fond memories you have of Peter be a comfort to you now and in the years to come. Peace.

My condolences to Pete's family and friends. I knew him in high school when we all hoped he and their band Vigilants would make it in the music business. He was a really good person then, and I'm sure he was the same after high school. Going at such a young age will never make sense, and I can only hope that you all really enjoyed the times you got to share together. Truly sorry for your loss.
RIP Buddy

It is with utter shock and profound sadness that I leave my condolences. Peter was my long time friend and I will miss him greatly. It is heartbreaking to think I will not see him again. I will always remember the crazy days we had in high school, the "Band Days" and University. Peter was part of my wedding party and although over the last few years we did not see each other much, when we did it was like old times. Our off coloured jokes and debates about the world.

Rest In Piece Buddy.
