In amateur radio we call our absent friends, 'silent keys'.
Posted by Nigel Johnson (Friend) On Tuesday, November 14, 2017
I am so sad to hear of Bill's death. Our friendship started way back in the late seventies as our amateur radio club struggled with a project to improve FM repeaters and inter-city linking. He was the person who brought us all together to get the project finished. We had been floundering for years but he showed us his value as a true project manager.

The system whose design project he led lasted for over thirty years, and has only recently been replaced by a commercial off-the-shelf system.

So Sorry
