Gordon "Gordie" Arnold Brook

BROOK, Gordon "Gordie" Arnold - Had a passion for woodworking and a love of animals and motorcycles. Surrounded and supported by his loving family, Gordie took his final ride on Friday, September 1, 2017. Gordie was in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Marlene for 59 years. Loving and devoted father of Cheryl (John) Adams, Douglas (Sharon), David (Jeannette), Mark (Cheryl) and Michael (Wendy). Proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his chosen son Randy Ferguson, his parents Harold and Georgina, and siblings Betty, Bill and Dinny. Gordie will be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends. A heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at the BGH 8th floor for the care and compassion they gave, not only to Gordie but also to his family. Cremation has taken place. Gordie's family would be honoured if you would join us to Celebrate his Life at the CHARING CROSS RECEPTION SUITES, adjacent to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME , 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1 - 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stedman Community Hospice would be appreciated. www.dennistoll.ca13207673

I didn't know Gordie all that well but when our paths crossed on the open road whether it was at a bike show or just at a coffee shop talking the talk he always had a story to tell. My condolences to all his family members and riding buddies. Rest in peace Gordie and keep your knees in the breeze.
